With over a million downloads and multiple awards, Pro HDR X leverages iOS's advanced bracketed burst exposure capture support to deliver instant, true HDR images with up to 10 additional stops of dynamic range beyond a single shot.

What is HDR Photography?

As explained by CNET, "HDR, or 'high dynamic range,' photography is simple: a photo is shot three times, at three different exposures—low, regular, and high—and then stacked to create one image. In doing so, you create a sharp image that looks closer to what the human eye sees, as the varying highlights and shadows are all accounted for."

As GroovyPost explains, HDR photography represents "more accurately the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, from direct sunlight to faint starlight, and is often captured by way of a plurality of differently exposed pictures of the same subject matter."
